Hyori Lee is one of Korea’s most recognisable and famous exports endorsing everything from music products to fashion items, she was originally founded with Korean girl group FINKL and I distinctly remember watching her at the 2000 Seoul fencing stadium. Back then, at the time of the 2000 concert, Hyori and her fellow members of FINKL were relatively new to the global scene and to Korea.
However in the years following, their popularity and in particular Hyori’s reputation grew and grew constantly, as fame dawned on Hyori, the fate of FINKL was sealed when Hyori decided that it would be in her best interest to pursue a solo career away from her fellow girl group members. As a result FINKL fell apart with Yuri and Jin choosing not to pursue careers in music, and Joo Hyun choosing to follow her own short lived musical career.
By then it was clear that Hyori was the main attraction of the group and following a number of album releases and TV and movie appearance, she has sort to take the global entertainment scene by appearing in programs outside of Korea.
Hyori’s beautiful looks and he unique singing voice has helped her a lot, to win beauty products endorsements and in my opinion, Lee Hyori is the one person who is able to sell in today’s entertainment market.
Years has have gone by since the split of FINKL and Lee Hyori, however Hyori has grown to develop and become the face of Korea in both at he Asian pacific and more recently the rest of the world. Hyori has been able unlike other entertainment stars to win numerous contracts in advertising. And many companies have jumped at the chance at cashing in on Korea ’s Hyori’s public image. Lee Hyori remains a popular choice with many Korean companies who use her as the face of their products and services; however it may be evident that her singing leaves room for improvement but her looks will always remain the best for years to come.
